India has offered the DRDO developed Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon to the Vietnamese Air Force.
DRDO SAAW is capable of engaging ground-based enemy assets such as Radars bunkers airfields and runways with high Precision at range of 100 kilometres.
The Vietnamese Air Force operates Su-30 aircraft and each aircraft can be equipped with 32 SAAW by using smart Smart Quad Rack system under its pylon.
The DRDO is also working on the next version of SAAW that will be equipped with an infrared Imaging Seeker which will begin developmental trials this year.
