Sky-Hero, the Belgian enterprise, has established a manufacturing facility in Mumbai through its local subsidiary, Sky-Hero India. This facility is dedicated to the licensed production of the advanced Loki MK2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and the innovative Sigyn Mk1 unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).

The Loki Mk2 UAV is a diminutive yet tactical quadcopter, engineered to excel in confined, dimly lit indoor spaces, as well as challenging environments where Global Positioning System (GPS) signals are unavailable or obstructed. Remarkably resilient, this UAV can be operated in two distinct modes: the ‘floor’ or ‘rover style’, and the ‘turtle’ or ‘directional flip’ mode.

Notably, it comes equipped with a low-light camera enhanced by an infrared (IR) light-emitting diode (LED) and a sound distraction payload. The sound distraction capability involves a low-lethal explosive that generates an astonishing 170 dB of sound.

On the other hand, the Sigyn MK1 is a compact UGV designed primarily for indoor operations. Outfitted with wide-angle low-light cameras on both its front and rear sides, complemented by eight controllable IR LEDs, this UGV ensures comprehensive situational awareness. Furthermore, its crashproof design and integration of inertial motion sensors allow for versatile driving modes.

The Loki MK2 and Sigyn MK1 can be efficiently operated via a console managed by Sky-Hero’s cutting-edge ground control station (GCS) MK-II, employing analogue signals at an impressive 500 MHz frequency. The operator is equipped with a panoramic field view on multiple wrist-wearable screens. As a testament to its flexibility, the GCS MK-II is capable of controlling up to four vehicles simultaneously. Additionally, the Loki MK-II can seamlessly collaborate with the Sigyn MK-I UGV and the Narfi MK-I wireless tactical pole camera.

In a display of prowess, Sky-Hero conducted captivating demonstrations of the Loki MK2 and Sigyn MK1 for audiences, including India’s National Security Guard (NSG), Indian paramilitary forces, and Indian special forces. These impressive showcases took place in July 2023, at the fourth Drone International Expo 2023, held in New Delhi.
