The Sukhoi Su-57 Felon and the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II are both 5th generation stealth fighter jets, but they have some key differences in terms of design, capabilities, and performance.

    Design

The Su-57 Felon is a 5th generation stealth fighter jet developed by Russia, while the F-35 Lightning II is a 5th generation stealth fighter jet developed by the United States. The Su-57 has a more traditional “flying wing” design, while the F-35 has a more conventional layout with separate fuselage, wing, and tail sections.

    Capabilities

The Su-57 has advanced capabilities for air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, as well as electronic warfare and intelligence gathering. The F-35 also has advanced capabilities in these areas, but it is primarily designed for air-to-ground combat and has a greater emphasis on stealth.

    Engine

The Su-57 is powered by a single Saturn AL-41F1S turbofan engine, while the F-35 is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney F135 turbofan engine. The F-35 engine is considered more advanced and powerful, with improved fuel efficiency and greater thrust.

    Stealth

Both the Su-57 and the F-35 are stealth aircraft, but the F-35’s stealth capabilities are considered to be more advanced. The F-35 has a lower radar cross-section and is designed to evade detection from multiple types of radar.

    Weapons

The Su-57 can carry a range of air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, including the R-77 and R-74M short-range air-to-air missiles, and the Kh-35 and Kh-59ME long-range cruise missiles. It can also carry bombs, including the KAB-500Kr and KAB-1500Kr precision-guided bombs. It is also equipped with an internal 30mm cannon.

The F-35 can carry a wide range of weapons as well, including air-to-air missiles such as the AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9X Sidewinder, and air-to-ground missiles such as the AGM-158 JASSM and AGM-154 JSOW. It can also carry a variety of bombs, including the GBU-12 Paveway II and GBU-31 JDAM. The F-35 is also equipped with an internal 25mm cannon.

    Cost

The F-35 is considered to be more expensive than the Su-57. The F-35 program has had a history of cost overruns, making it one of the most expensive weapons systems ever developed. The Su-57, on the other hand, has had a relatively lower development cost.

In terms of performance and capabilities, the F-35 is considered to be more advanced and stealthier than the Su-57. However, the Su-57 has a more powerful engine and is considered to be more maneuverable in air-to-air combat.
