    The Rajputana Rifles is an infantry regiment of the Indian Army. It was formed in 1817 as part of the British Indian Army and has served in a number of conflicts, including World War I and World War II, as well as in peacekeeping operations.     The Motto of Rajputana Rifles is Veer Bhogya Vasundhara (वीर भोग्य वसुंधरा )” The Brave Shall Inherit the Earth” and Raja Ramchandra Ki Jai” Hail Lord Raja Ramachandra”.

    “Veer Bhogya Vasundhara” is a phrase in Hindi which means “The brave shall inherit the earth”. It is a popular phrase that is used to acknowledge and honor the sacrifices made by brave soldiers and it is also a reminder that courage and valor will ultimately lead to victory and success.

    History of Rajputana Rifles

    After India gained independence from British rule in 1947, the Rajput Regiment was renamed the Rajputana Rifles. Since then, it has served in a number of conflicts, including the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947-1948, the Sino-Indian War of 1962, and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The regiment has also served in peacekeeping operations, such as those in Sri Lanka and Congo.

    • Peacekeeping Operations: The regiment has also served in peacekeeping operations, such as those in Sri Lanka and Congo.
    • Kargil War: The Rajputana Rifles played a vital role in the Kargil War of 1999, where they were deployed to capture some of the most difficult peaks in the Kargil sector.
    • Operation Parakram: The Rajputana Rifles were also deployed during the Operation Parakram, which was launched by India in 2001–2002 in response to terrorist attacks on the Indian Parliament.

    The Rajputana Rifles continues to be an active part of the Indian Armed Forces today, and is known for its bravery and commitment to protecting the country.
