Russia has offered its upgraded BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle to the Indian army for its FICV program.
The upgraded BMP-3 features a new remote controlled weapon station and will be able to fire various ammunition types including new 100 mm laser-guided projectiles, 100 mm high explosive fragmentation rounds and new 30 mm armour piercing discarding sabot rounds.
The BMP-3 weighs 18.7 tons and is capable of a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour and a range of 600 kilometers.
