    P. Sreekumar, professor at ISRO and advisor to space science program said that ISRO has failed to to obtain formal approval and funding for Shukrayaan Mission, as a result the mission will be postponed to 2031.

Optimal launch windows to Venus occur every 19 months when Earth and Venus are at their closest approach in their respective orbits, known as inferior conjunction. These launch windows allow for the least amount of energy to be required for the spacecraft to travel to Venus.

2024 window for ISRO Venus mission has been missed, but 2031 window is very good as per ISRO for Shukrayaan 1 mission Launch.

The Shukrayaan Mission aims to study the atmosphere of Venus using a variety of scientific instruments. The spacecraft will be placed in an elliptical orbit around Venus, allowing it to study the planet’s atmosphere for an extended period of time. The mission will also help in understanding the evolution of Venus and the processes that led to its present condition and will be launched using the GSLV Mk II launch vehicle.
